2020: A new year, a new decade, and a time for reflection and appreciation of how far we've all come.
In January of 2019 The Owl & The Pussycat had the honor of performing in the 43rd Monte Carlo International Circus Festival. Even being invited was a long-term goal for us, and one that we never anticipated would happen last year. The experience of performing in such a prestigious and historical circus festival was incomparable to anything else we've ever done in circus. And to top it all off, we were awarded a Bronze Clown for our act, marking 2019 forever as the peak of our circus career.

Later in 2019 we auditioned for La France A Un Incroyable Talent and ultimately we made it all the way to the final live shows. It was a unique opportunity to create a 3-part story about the life of a couple. Our first performance was about new love, when everything is full of hope and romance.

For the demi-finale we did a darker, more serious act about a couple that has been together for some time and is faced with the kinds of difficulties that arise in a long-term relationship. We used a blindfold for the final trick of this act to show the faith that is required to regain broken trust in a relationship.

Finally, for the live shows, we concluded our narrative trilogy by portraying an older couple who has been together their entire lives, through all of the ups and downs, until the very end.

We're so grateful to everyone who helped us get to this point. While we didn't go to circus school, or come from circus families, we have had a lot of support from people and companies who saw our value before anyone else. Our families stood behind us when we chose this unconventional career path and our friends listened to us through our struggles to create and master new duo trapeze technique. Behind every success is a mountain of failures, do-overs, and constant course-correction.
